Why it’s important? Most people know good nutrition and physical activity can help maintain a healthy weight. But the benefits of good nutrition go beyond weight. Good nutrition can help, Reduce the risk of some diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, stroke, some cancers, and osteoporosis, Reduce high blood pressure, Lower high cholesterol, Improve your well-being, etc. Good nutrition means your body gets all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals it needs to work its best. Plan your meals and snacks to include nutrient-dense foods that are also low in calories.

If we get too much food, or food that gives our bodies the wrong instructions, we can become overweight, undernourished, and at risk for the development of diseases and conditions, such as arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease. In short, what we eat is central to our health. What causes poor nutrition? Poor eating habits include under- or over-eating, not having enough of the healthy foods we need each day, or consuming too many types of food and drink, which are low in fibre or high in fat, salt and/or sugar.
The Sunday meeting this month with the theme “Nutritious Food” was held on Sunday, February 16, 2020. It began at 08.00 – 09.30 at BBC Tlogosari Semarang. the activity begins with the opening and reading of prayers together. then proceed with yell – yell together and followed by a presentation on nutritious foods by Mrs. Dewi then continued the cooking practice by Miss Natya and Miss Novi and the last event was the children eating together. participants were very enthusiastic about the activity. This Sunday’s Sunday meeting aims to foster children’s interest in eating nutritious food and knowing the names of vegetables,fruits, and other foods in English.
